The Backseat Lovers are back with their new release “Slowing Down”, which is their third and final single to be released ahead of their upcoming album Waiting To Spill. Much like their previous single “Growing/Dying”, The Backseat Lovers captivate listeners with their deeply personal lyrics like “Whisper in my ear / That you need me / But if you saw it clearly / Would you leave me?”, which are complemented by a beautiful instrumental track. Front man Joshua Harmon‘s vocals are immaculate within the song in it entirety, during the chorus he sings “People moving faster / Am I the only one that’s slowing down? / Am I slowing you down?”.

This release is accompanied with two big announcements, the first being their UK & Ireland Spring 2023 tour. It is going to be insane to see the talented 4-piece take to the stage at London’s iconic 2,300 capacity venue O2 Forum Kentish Town, having only played their first show UK show in London last year at an intimate 300 capacity venue Moth Club. The second announcement being an intimate London show at a secret London venue, which we cannot wait to witness.

All of the confirmed The Backseat Lovers UK & Ireland Spring 2023 Tour dates are as follows:

Wed 8 March – O2 Ritz, Manchester
Thu 9 March – O2 Academy, Birmingham
Fri 10 March – QMU, Glasgow
Sun 12 March – Vicar Street, Dublin
Tue 14 March – Stylus, Leeds
Wed 15 March – SWX, Bristol
Thu 16 March – O2 Kentish Town Forum, London

Tickets go on sale on Friday 14 October 2022 at 10am here.

The Backseat Lovers second studio album Waiting To Spill will be released on Friday 28 October and is available to preorder here.
