Kaiya Gamble is done with the lies on new single “Sweet Talker”

Date:

At just 15-years-old, pop artist Kaiya Gamble is already a huge inspiration.  Not only has her music been described as “a beacon of light containing an undeniable message of empowerment, inclusivity, and hope,” but her actions are just as powerful.  Each month, Kaiya gives monthly virtual performances for Randwick Children’s Hospital’s Cancer Ward in Sydney, and last year, she performed a free benefit concert online called “Kaiya Live” with the intention of spreading love and positivity.  It is evident that her dreams include others, but there are times when Kaiya finds that others are not to be trusted, as we hear in her new single “Sweet Talker.”

On “Sweet Talker,” Kaiya tells us about an experience with someone who loved to deceive.  Throughout the track, Kaiya mentions, “I guess it really was a game to you” and “all you did was lie from the start,” realizing that this person was “no good.”  By the end of this extremely catchy track, Kaiya admits, “It only took a taste of the truth / To realize I don’t have a sweet tooth,” owning where she stands.  You can check it out below.

As for the plot of the track, Kaiya reveals,

“At the beginning of ‘Sweet Talker,’ the other person has all the power.  They broke your heart, never loved you and that hurts, a lot.  By the end, there’s a self-realization that you are the person in charge. You’re better off without the toxicity and you weren’t to blame. This song is a goodbye to the toxic people in and around your life, and a hello to the power you hold within yourself!”

You can listen to “Sweet Talker” on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.
