Love You Later tries to “Keepintouch” on new single

Date:

She takes on the stage name of Love You Later, even though her music will make you fall in love with her here and now.  Her highly irresistible melodies, relevant lyrics, and dreamy soundscapes have captured the attention of tastemakers like The Line of Best Fit, FLAUNT, and American Songwriter, proving that she is an artist that you do not want to miss.  Over the years, the Nashville-based artist has even opened for bands such as OneRepublic and artists like Briston Maroney and was able to sell out Nashville’s iconic EXIT/IN.  It is clear that Love You Later is well on the rise, and as she continues to make a strong name for herself, she is releasing her first single of the year with “Keepintouch.”

A riveting piece of alt-pop, “Keepintouch” easily demonstrates the catchiness of Love You Later’s music.  From its driving beats to its lush layers of vocals, “Keepintouch” fosters a lively spirit that keeps you hooked until the end.  All the while, Love You Later gives us lyrics that focus on the idea of being comfortable with yourself when others are not around.  As she ruminates over her boyfriend being gone on tour, she sings, “I’m losing touch with everyone else / Trying to keep in touch with myself” and “I’m having a moment / Nobody knows it,” finding out that connecting with herself is much harder than she anticipated.  You can check it out below.

About the track, Love You Later explains,

“My boyfriend had just left for tour a few weeks prior and my friends were all starting to date people – of course, I wanted to be happy for the people I loved, but in all honesty, it was really hard.  I almost felt this sense of disconnection from myself, like I had forgotten how to be alone.  We finally came up with the concept for the song once I came to this strange realization – I felt more connected to myself when I had other people around me, but I knew that I really needed to learn to be alone again in order to truly feel connected with myself.  And I also wanted to express the fear of losing the people I loved in the process.”

You can listen to “Keepintouch” on platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music.
