Mondo Cozmo gives us a guide to life on “Meant for Livin'”

Josh Ostrander, better known to most as Mondo Cozmo, saw his career take off rapidly following his 2017 debut Plastic Soul; on that record, he toured with artists like Bastille, Spoon, and Muse, and I personally can attest to seeing his life-affirming live show at three festivals in a calendar year. The dude’s got it down to a science. After 2020’s New Medicine, he took some time off to write his forthcoming third album, of which we’ve already heard lead single “Feel Good”, which served as another example of what the talented polymath is capable of.

Today, Ostrander has released another single in the rambunctious and rollicking “Meant for Livin”. The press release notes that he wrote it as “a practical guide for successful living”, and you can hear echoes of Bob Dylan in his rapid-fire, folky delivery. The song comes with an IMMENSELY entertaining music video that combines stop-motion elements with Ostrander establishing multiple characters based upon who might tell you how to live your life.
