LIVE PHOTOS: Omar Apollo // Toronto, ON

Omar Apollo‘s Speed of Sound Tour rolled through Toronto on Saturday night.

The nearly sold out Danforth Music Hall was already packed before the first artist took the stage. Silver Sphere kicked off the show with an energetic and fun set:

Next up was rising star Dijon; the crowd seemed nearly as excited for him as they did for Omar. It was Dijon’s last show of the tour and he didn’t disappoint – you can catch him on his own headlining tour early next year, which includes a stop at Toronto’s Velvet Underground on January 30th:

Omar Apollo captivated the crowd the moment he took the stage. The 22 year-old psychedelic pop/R&B artist is still early in his career, but already seems confident and comfortable performing. Only seven months ago Omar played in Toronto’s Velvet Underground, which sits at around 400 capacity (compared to the Danforth’s 1500). Since then, the artist has released two singles, and has continued to grow in popularity in the indie world. His set was exciting and energetic, and I’m excited to see what’s next for him:
