French rock band The Blackmordia just unleashed their latest single “Hold On”, in collaboration with legendary Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens. It’s ode to longing for a love long gone with the perfect mix of 80s elegance and rock & roll.

“Hold On” is a sophisticated heartbreak song that hooks you in with a majestic synth beat, followed by a funky guitar riff that invites us to dance. As the bridge approaches, the intimate build up leads us to Steve Stevens’ manic guitar solo. “Hold On” feels like a nostalgic soundscape, while bringing a fresh and modern take.

Singer and guitarist Peter Moisan elaborates on the subject matter around their latest track: “It’s the story of missing someone so much, you wish you could build a time machine to spend even just one moment with them again”. The listening experience evokes these feelings of time travel, as we sit in a dark room and reminisce.

“Hold On” is now available on all streaming platforms.
