Hippo Campus delivered an electric performance at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Wednesday night, captivating a sold-out crowd with their genre-blending indie-pop sound. Fans were in high spirits from the start, enthusiastically singing along to every track and fueling the band’s infectious energy.

The set opened with “Bad Dream Baby,” immediately setting the tone with its irresistible groove. Highlights included “Paranoid,” which had the audience moving to its catchy hooks, and “Baseball,” a nostalgic nod to the band’s earlier material. The crowd erupted during “Way It Goes,” a signature track that showcased Hippo Campus’ knack for blending introspective lyrics with danceable beats.

The show also featured material from their latest album, Flood. The title track stood out as a powerful, reflective moment, while “Yippie Ki Yay” brought a fresh, experimental edge to the set. These newer songs demonstrated the band’s growth and willingness to explore new sonic landscapes.

For the encore, Hippo Campus returned with fan-favorite “Buttercup,” leaving the crowd buzzing and eager for more. The intimate yet energetic atmosphere of the venue perfectly matched the band’s dynamic performance, creating a memorable night for all in attendance.
