COIN’s Rainbow Dreamland tour gets Boston rocking

Date:

COIN Live In Concert | Boston | 2021

On Tuesday, December 14, COIN kicked off the last week of their Rainbow Dreamland tour at a sold-out House Of Blues in Boston. The line to get in stretched down a full city block before doors even opened, and once allowed in, fans rushed to get as close as possible. After so long without seeing them, a devoted (mostly younger and female) fanbase was pumping with energy. Pop act Mazie got the night started rocking with catchy tunes like “people don’t change,” “i think i wanna be alone,” and “no friends.” Her lyrics, while not necessarily subtle, speak with unrelenting authenticity. Her live energy is magnetic, with similar energy to Billie Eilish.

Once they changed over the stage, COIN came out with an absolutely relentless energy. They kicked the night off with “Into My Arms,” “Chapstick,” and “I Want It All.” Lead singer Chase Lawrence doesn’t stop. He puts so much into each performance and each song, it’s impossible to look away. The entire band, especially guitarist Joe Memmel, radiates positive energy. By the time the night ended with “Sprite,” “Crash My Car,” and “Fingers Crossed” both the crowd and band were riding a high, if not spent of energy. COIN put on a show absolutely worth the wait from the before times.
