Recent News: Released their debut EP NSFW on September 19 through Hundred Days Records

Most artists don’t usually find superstardom and earn praise from some of rock music’s biggest names before releasing a full-length record. But, needless to say, The Paradox live up to their name. Almost immediately after their formation last year, the Atlanta-based pop-punk outfit went viral over their debut music video. Not long after that, they were asked to open for Green Day at Atlanta’s Truist Park.

In the year since, the group has opened for Jack White, delivered a thrilling showcase at last year’s When We Were Young festival, and collaborated with Travis Barker. Now, The Paradox are celebrating the release of their highly-anticipated debut album NSFW, released September 19 through Hundred Days Records.

Composed of Eric Dangerfield (vocals, rhythm guitar), Donald Bryant (bass), Christopher “Xelan” Bernard (lead guitar, backing vocals) and Percy “PC3” Crews (drums), The Paradox bring forward a nostalgic pop-punk sound that is decorated with a modern edginess. Their devoted fanbase, which the band amassed quickly after first appearing on social media, has compared The Paradox to the likes of Bowling For Soup or Sum-41, cementing the band’s place as fiery trailblazers in the modern pop-punk renaissance.

This year has been an exciting one for the group, but they don’t plan on hitting the brakes anytime soon. Following the release of their debut EP, as well as a thrilling showcase at this year’s Riot Fest in Chicago, The Paradox will play several festival dates this month, including Oceans Calling Festival and Ohana Festival. Next month, the band will hit the road this October to support All Time Low on the North American leg of their Everyone’s Talking! World Tour. The Paradox will tour as support alongside Mayday Parade, The Cab, and Four Years Strong.

Known for their authentic musicality and high-energy live shows, The Paradox are firmly establishing themselves as a sensational new pop-punk act. With an artistic ethos of using their platform to enlighten young listeners wanting to get into rock music, the punk group are an act that is as talented as they are inspiring. Through electrifying pop-punk bangers like “Do Me Like That” and “Do It Again,” The Paradox are keeping the distinct, optimistic flair of authentic pop-punk alive. Their major year aside, The Paradox are blazing their own trail as Black artists in a historically white scene one banger at a time.
