Recent News: Will release their new full-length studio album No Hard Feelings on August 29.
Through their infectious blend of anthemic rock vitality and catchy pop beats, Toronto rock outfit The Beaches have spent nearly the last two decades carving their own unique space in the indie music scene. Bringing together raw romanticism and gritty sapphic energy, the quartet will undoubtedly display their most defining work yet with the release of their third studio album No Hard Feelings, out August 29 via AWAL.
No Hard Feelings directly follows the band’s highly successful 2023 album Blame My Ex, which granted The Beaches a new wave of massive success. The TikTok popularity of the album’s lead single, “Blame Brett,” heightened the band’s global fame and led to a nearly sold-out North American tour that year. That year also earned the band an opening spot for The Rolling Stones and the Juno Award for Rock Album of the Year.
Now, The Beaches — composed of Jordan Miller (vocals, bass), Kylie Miller (guitar, backing vocals), Eliza Enman-McDaniel (drums) and Leandra Earl (keyboards, guitar, backing vocals) — are gearing up to release their new record No Hard Feelings. Following their Coachella performance and the release of several album singles, including addictive tracks like “Touch Myself” and “Jocelyn,” the album is sure to build upon the band’s success through its glimmering sonic identity.
Initially founded in 2009 when sisters Jordan and Kylie Miller were just teenagers, The Beaches originally formed under the name Done With Dolls. Opting for a more pop-punk sound, the band later changed to The Beaches in 2013, switching to the indie rock musicality they are known for today. The Beaches released two extended plays — The Beaches (2013) and Heights (2014) — before signing on with Universal Records in 2016.
The following year, the group released their debut full-length project, titled Late Show. The album earned the band great commercial success, holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Canada Rock chart and earning a Juno Award win for Breakthrough Group of the Year. Over the next several years The Beaches toured extensively and released two more EPs: The Professional (2019) and Future Lovers (2022).
With the 2023 release of the band’s sophomore album Blame My Ex, The Beaches found greater stardom than ever before. “Blame Brett,” and the group’s newfound TikTok fame, introduced them to younger fans than their previous work had, and Blame My Ex landed on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart. In April 2025, The Beaches released their single “Last Girls at the Party” and announced the release date for their new album No Hard Feelings. Following the album’s release, The Beaches will embark on the No Hard Feelings Tour, making their way throughout North America this fall.
While The Beaches have maintained a steady work schedule over the years, fueled by continuous musical releases and extensive touring, it is truly the band’s enticing musicality and lyrical vulnerability that has granted them indie rock stardom. The quartet offers a romantic, yet realistic, exploration of love and heartbreak, and balances these emotional journeys with equally heartfelt compositions. Building upon the passion and spark initially found within Blame My Ex, No Hard Feelings finds The Beaches taking their signature grit and glamor to new heights.
