After making a name for herself as a diverse rising actress — having starred in the 2023 film noir The Blue Rose alongside Ray Wise and Danielle Bisutti as well as Mod Sun’s 2022 film Good Mourning alongside Machine Gun Kelly — Sophie Cooper now enters a new artistic era as she viscerally carves her own way into the L.A. rock scene. Combining the dark and grungy femininity of Courtney Love with the edgy swagger found only in the likes of Velvet Revolver, Cooper offers a refreshing dose of hard rock adrenaline within her artistry.

Initially getting her start as an actress, making her debut in 2012 on Celebrity Ghost Stories, Cooper now holds a strong and wide-ranging film portfolio. Having starred in short films, television series and full-length films, she has also made appearances in music videos for the likes of Rise Against and Palaye Royale.

However, after deciding to move on to her next artistic era, Cooper released her hard-hitting debut single “Barbie Parts” in September 2024. In the year that followed, the singer-songwriter continued to steadily release new material, dropping “Song 1 (Here to Stay)” in November 2024. Throughout the following year, Cooper released three more singles — “Ashes,” “Daises” and, most recently, “MISSDIAGNOSED.”

Her latest release, “MISSDIAGNOSED,” arrives alongside a fiery new music video directed by Maria Skakun. Balancing a sharp sense of melancholy with a focused feeling of rage, Cooper’s latest musical effort continues to define herself as one of rock music’s most exciting up-and-comers for 2026.

Over the next couple of months, Cooper has several live shows scheduled in L.A. On February 25 she’ll play at The Peppermint Club, and on March 14 she’ll perform at Bar Sinister.
