As subgenres like pop metal and metalcore dominated the rock scene in 2025, alt-metal duo sace6 spent the last year introducing themselves as one of the most unique names to emerge within the scene. Initially the solo endeavor of vocalist Sace, the project soon became a full band in late 2024 with the addition of producer Noah Thomas on guitars and backing vocals.

After steadily releasing material in 2024, last year found sace6 playing across the globe as a supporting act for both Don Broco and nothing, nowhere. on their respective tours. Last year also saw the release of sace6’s debut EP Limerence, featuring collaborations with Rain City Drive and jxdn, which defined the band’s signature sonic blend of alternative and ethereal sounds.

Ever since their explosive showcase at Vans Warped Tour in Orlando back in November, sace6 have stayed relatively silent on social media. That is, until teasing their first hint of new music since Limerence‘s release. Last week, sace6 posted an ominous clip of a drum set and a pair of microphones in an empty room, lit only by flashing lights. The brief clip ends with a heavy guitar crunch, which has left listeners waiting in anticipation in the days that followed. Over the next several days, sace6 posted a couple of other sneak peeks at the upcoming release, which was soon revealed to be a new single titled “ego.”

Their first musical effort since rising in the alt-rock limelight and earning a new wave of fans since their supporting runs with nothing, nowhere. and Don Broco, listeners understandably have great expectations for “ego.” However, there’s no doubt that the duo will deliver through their signature and unforgettable sonic blend of grunge, alternative and metal influences.

This January and February, sace6 play a run of shows supporting Don Broco before hitting the road with nothing, nowhere. once again in April. This May, the band will join Northlane and Windwalkers as support for Dayseeker on The Pale Moonlight Tour. As they continue to bring their magnetic artistry on the road, sace6 will continue to rise within the ranks of the modern rock circuit.
