Yalee seeks to inspire his inner-child by connecting with the Los Angeles community through music and philanthropy

Date:

Yalee is a philanthropist and advocate who uses music to shed light on the love that endures through hard times. The art that he creates is deeply intertwined with the obstacles he overcame throughout his childhood. His purpose as an artist is clear. Yalee states, “I just want to be someone I wish I had growing up.”

His 2024 release, “Paper Cups Paper Plates” is about the sacrifices his mother made to fill her children with love. He sings, “Not a lot to eat, but we still saying grace.” Recently, Yalee gave back to his community by throwing money at the Santa Monica Pier. As he invited the crowd to chant the chorus of “Paper Cups Paper Plates” with him, it became a full circle moment.

Outside of music and activism, Yalee is an entrepreneur who runs his own merch line, Dear Cloudz, and skincare brand, SelfieO Skin. He’s previously collaborated with the iconic Fetty Wap and toured with the one and only Mac Miller. By giving back to his community and spreading positivity through music, Yalee is a role model that his younger self would be proud of.
