The laughs are about to get louder in Los Angeles as Netflix Is A Joke Fest returns this May hosted by Lizzo.
The biggest festival in comedy lands in Los Angeles the week of May 4-10. Netflix Is A Joke Fest spans more than a week of programming across dozens of venues throughout Los Angeles, including theaters like the Hollywood Bowl and The Forum. The festival features hundreds of live shows from stand-up sets and podcast tapings to large-scale headlining performances, highlighting some of the biggest names in comedy alongside rising talent across multiple stages each night.
Lizzo’s special showcase blends stand-up comedy and live music into a one-of-a-kind variety experience. Held at the iconic Greek Theatre on May 7, The event promises a high-energy evening that highlights both Lizzo’s musical talents and her comedic debut.
Known for pushing boundaries across genres, Lizzo steps into the role of host, curating a lineup stacked with some of comedy’s most dynamic voices. The bill includes Eric André, Nikki Glaser, Luenell, Meg Stalter, Dulcé Sloan, Myke Wright, and Godfrey.
Unlike a traditional concert or stand-up set, the show leans into a hybrid format, combining comedy performances with musical moments, all tied together by Lizzo’s larger-than-life presence. The night will also feature a special musical performance from Lizzo herself.
As part of Netflix’s massive comedy takeover, spanning more than 350 events across 35 venues, this showcase reflects the festival’s mission to bring together top-tier talent and create unforgettable, genre-blurring experiences for fans.
