Beginning July 12, post-hardcore legends Silverstein and Story of the Year will kick off Camp Screamo, the summer tour of the MySpace generation’s dreams. Along with special guests Origami Angel, the bands will launch the summer camp vibes in Asbury Park, New Jersey, at the legendary Stone Pony Summer Stage before concluding in Orlando, Florida, as part of Vans Warped Tour.
Marking their first-ever tour together, the bands are celebrating a shared history and decades of friendships within the music industry. Silverstein frontman Shane Told remarked:
“This is the summer tour we’ve wanted to do for a very long time. Believe it or not, this is the FIRST TIME Silverstein and Story of The Year have toured the US together, which feels illegal considering how long we have been friends. This tour is going to be nostalgic, loud, chaotic, fun, wild, emotional, slightly unhinged, sweaty, mildly dangerous, and a little irresponsible! We’re playing songs from all the different eras of our band, the classics and a few deep cuts for good measure as well. Can’t wait!”
Story of the Year guitarist Ryan Phillips added that the band was more dedicated than ever to being the best version of themselves: “We’re excited to give all of our fans everything we’ve got, every single night. AND we get to share the stage with such a legit band like Silverstein.”
