Tom A. Smith has released his new single “Fashion” as a fresh start after signing with Fiction Records.
“Fashion” is a declarative anthem about tuning out opinions and strutting with confidence no matter the circumstances. It’s an extremely bold, heavy track with strong bass and a contagious beat, empowering listeners to feel confident in any situation.
The track was co-written and produced by Barry Hyde and mixed by Ali Chant. “I’m really excited for everyone to hear what we’ve created,” Smith said.
“It’s become a staple of the live set and points the way to our new sound.”
Though a newcomer, Smith has been immersed in the music industry from a young age. At just 21, he’s already had experiences many seasoned artists dream of. He played his first gig at age 8, supporting local psychedelic rockers Detroit Social Club, and has since performed at Glastonbury, Newcastle’s The Cluny, and more.
Throughout his career, he’s earned support from Jack Saunders on BBC Radio 1 and Elton John’s Rocket Hour podcast. He’s also been recognized by BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, BST Hyde Park and has opened Leeds Festival.
Now, with his new deal at Fiction Records, home to acts like The Cure, The Horrors and Tame Impala, Smith is stepping into a new chapter. More live performances are expected soon, including:
August 15, 2025 – Sunderland, UK – The Fire Station
August 22, 2025 – UK – Come Together Festival
August 23, 2025 – Darlington, UK – Darlington Arena (with Razorlight)
August 28, 2025 – UK – 110 Above Festival
August 29, 2025 – UK – This Feeling By The Sea
