Following the release of her debut album, Energy, Tolou has released the radiant music video for “Body,” the 12th track on the album. The music video, filmed in Lagos, Nigeria, where Tolou’s father is from, is a reflection of the joyful, sensual, vibrant spirit of the song.

“The purpose of the video is really to reflect the energy of the ‘Body’ record. It’s uplifting, it’s inspiring, which is how I always feel going back to Nigeria and that’s exactly the feeling I wanted to capture in this visual. I hope people feel that energy when they watch it.”
Tolou’s debut album introduced her as a boundless artist, taking inspiration from pop, soul, R&B, and Afro-influenced rhythms. Not only is the album full of emotion and spirit, but Tolou also incorporated much of her cultural identity throughout the tracks. “Body” brings the energy of the album full circle, offering clarity and closing the story the way Tolou intended.
