Taylor Swift drops ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ tracklist, cover art, and release date on ‘New Heights’ podcast

Taylor Swift has officially unveiled the cover art and full track listing for her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, set to release on October 3 via Republic Records.

She made the announcement during an appearance on the New Heights podcast, hosted by her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason. “It was something that I was working on while I was in Europe on The Eras Tour,” Swift revealed. She went on to explain that during the tour, she’d perform three shows, then use her three days off each week to fly to Sweden and work on the album.

The Life of a Showgirl features 12 tracks (fittingly, for her 12th album), all written and produced by Swift, Max Martin, and Shellback. “I was so excited to be creating,” Swift shared. The title track, which closes the album, includes a feature from Sabrina Carpenter, making it the only collaboration on the record. Swift described the album as a behind-the-scenes look into her inner world during the Eras Tour: “exuberant, electric, and vibrant,” as she put it.

Swift went on to share that working with the pair on this record “felt like catching lightning in a bottle.” She described the creative process as coming from “the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in my life.” It’s clear that this energy and passion helped shape an album that’s both bold and deeply personal.

“It’s a complete 180 from the songs on Tortured Poets,” Kelce shares to which Swift replied “Life is more upbeat.”

With The Life of a Showgirl, Taylor Swift is clearly stepping into a new chapter — one that’s vibrant, joyful, and unapologetically bold.
