Last month, Summer Walker released Finally Over It, the final installment of her widely beloved album trilogy, which chronicles the singer’s lessons learned on love and heartbreak.
Walker’s latest release became the largest debut for an R&B album by a woman this year, landing at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with over 77,000 units sold. The record also marks her third No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Following the release of the album, Walker revealed two deluxe versions: Finally Over It (Cocktail Hour) and Finally Over It (The After Party). The latter includes the highly anticipated Foggieraw collaborations, “Take Me Out This Club” and “Drown In My Love,” which the singer teased on Instagram Live earlier this year.
The conclusion to the Over It trilogy leaned into the chaos and humor of heartbreak, with a cover inspired by the wedding of 26-year-old model Anna Nicole Smith and 89-year-old oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II. Between uploading a series of bite-sized Q&As, launching the No Wac-Man game, and collaborating with the likes of Mariah the Scientist, Anderson .Paak and GloRilla, the self-proclaimed R&B princess pulled out all the stops for this grand finale.
