Stevie Zita releases hypnotizing lo-fi track “Whatchu Want”

Date:

Toronto native Stevie Zita has released a new single titled “Whatchu Want,” a laidback lo-fi track about feeling frustrated with a romantic partner’s lack of clear communication.

Over a guitar-driven instrumentation, the singer-songwriter details his partner’s ever-changing plans: “Honey, it’s just so absurd / How you won’t keep your word / I thought that we were going / Downtown dancing, I dressed / All fancy, you know?” In the hypnotizing chorus, Zita seemingly gives in and begs for clarity, singing, “You just keep on saying ‘maybe’ / So tell me, oh tell me whatchu want.”

Since debuting with the 2018 single “Nina Belle,” Zita has consistently put out new music, including six EPs and one album, amassing millions of streams on Spotify.
