Record Store Day has officially revealed the date for its 2026 celebration, with the annual vinyl-lover’s holiday set to return on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
Now in its 19th year, Record Store Day (RSD) continues its mission of celebrating independent record shops and physical music with its global vinyl community. What began as a grassroots initiative has grown into an international event, drawing music fans to local stores for exclusive releases and one-day-only experiences that can’t be replicated online.
Nearly 1,400 independent record stores in the US and thousands internationally are expected to participate in 2026. Shoppers can once again expect a wide selection of exclusive vinyl releases, limited-edition pressings, and surprise collaborations, alongside in-store performances and community events hosted by participating shops.
While the full list of 2026 releases has yet to be announced, organizers have confirmed that details will roll out in the coming months. This includes the reveal of Record Store Day’s hundreds of vinyl titles spanning genres, eras, and formats — from rare reissues to new releases made exclusively for the event.
Some of the specialty records for 2025 included Gracie Abrams Live From Radio City Music Hall, Kelsea Ballerini’s The First Time: 10 Year Anniversary Edition, Charli xcx’s “Guess” featuring Billie Eilish, and more.
More details, including the full release list and participating retailers, will be announced closer to the event.
