For the first time in seven years, Radiohead returned to the stage in Madrid, Spain, at the Movistar Arena.
Indie’s most well-known quintet, consisting of members Thom Yorke (lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist), Jonny Greenwood (guitarist), Colin Greenwood (bassist), Ed O’Brien (guitarist), and Philip Selway (drummer), started making music in grade school in Oxfordshire. With the band originally named “On a Friday,” the adolescents dedicated themselves to becoming one of the most successful indie rock bands of all time.
From their debut album Pablo Honey in 1993 that introduced global hit “Creep” — which became certified gold and platinum in eight countries — to their last full-length album A Moon Shaped Pool that came out in 2016, Radiohead has built one of the most influential discographies in modern music. Their work resonates with millions of fans worldwide.
The setlist was composed of popular favorites such as “Let Down,” “No Surprises,” “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi,” “Fake Plastic Trees,” and “Karma Police.”
Over 14,000 people were in attendance at their first reunion show. Radiohead will continue to tour the remaining of their sold-out shows this November and December in Spain, Italy, England, Denmark, and Germany.
As the future unfolds, fans are eager to see what Radiohead has in store.
