Pitchfork Music Festival announces 2023 lineup with The Smile, Big Thief, Bon Iver and more

Date:

Pitchfork Music Festival will return to Chicago’s Union Park on July 21-23, and this morning they’ve revealed their 2023 lineup that features everything you’ve come to love about the festival, from a heavy-hitting top line to the niche, “see-them-before-they-blow-up” acts that make Pitchfork special.

The top line is held down by The Smile, Big Thief (in a mighty ascension, considering they sub-headlined the festival in 2021), and Bon Iver, which might mark the first time that the festival has obtained a straight-up arena act for a headliner. Beneath them are acts like Alvvays, Kelela, Weyes Blood, King Krule, Perfume Genius, and Koffee. The undercard is where the festival shines: Nation of Language, Mdou Moctar, Snail Mail, Julia Jacklin, JPEGMAFIA, Soul Glo, Florist, MJ Lenderman and JLin are a smattering of the names that will warm up the day in Chicago.

Tickets are on sale now here, and you can check out our coverage of last year’s edition here.
