If you think that Nya is well on her game now, just wait until 2026. This past year, the talented songstress and actress has made trips around the world to Uruguay, London, and Nashville, recording her debut full-length album. In the meantime, she has been carving out her own space in the music world through multiple projects and tours. Last fall, she joined Lindsey Sterling on tour across the U.S. and Europe, where her desire to perform and share honest and personal songs with the world came to fruition. The energy of the crowds each night also motivated her on the tour, as the demands of such a schedule tend to be relentless. Nya is still growing as an artist, but she has come a long way since she first started out. She summarizes this journey in her latest single “My Tears Grew Roses.”
Nya taps into something powerful from within on “My Tears Grew Roses.” There is a cinematic flair to the song, made so by the drums, piano, strings, and Nya’s impassioned vocals. She is warm yet bold as she sings lines like, “They said it’d be easy / But the climb ain’t for the weak / I kept on believing / ‘Til I found the strength in me.” In the end, “it all comes back around,” and there is nothing more that anyone can do but to be brave and conquer each day as best they can.
