Rising alt-rock disruptor Jutes ignites the start of a bold new chapter with the release of his newest single, “Disassociate.” It’s a sensually fearless track with hypnotically brooding edginess and surreal lyricism.
In this velvety smooth single, Jutes explores the feeling of losing yourself in a moment (or a person) when the outside world feels like it’s collapsing around you, hence its title. Paired with an erotic breakdown, the single perfectly balances sensual tension with the deeper emotional ebb and flow, reflecting on the ways intimacy can become both refuge and escape when life becomes too much.
In a press release, Jutes says this about the single:
“This is about the world crumbling around me and me needing a break from empathizing and taking on everyone’s pain by disassociating with someone else… sometimes you have sex to feel something and sometimes you have it to feel nothing.”
In addition to stepping into this new phase, Jutes also begins his new worldwide partnership and label extension with Position Music, which will allow the artist to continue his growth and discovery within the gritty alternative rock and unique lyrical styles he’s known for.
