Nashville-based artist behn (pronounced “bane”) has returned with his newest single “different person (same face).”
The track is a stripped-down indie-pop single with a candid edge. “different person (same face)” is one of those songs that a multitude of audiences can relate to. It’s a timeless tune that will find its way to those who want to feel less alone in their personal struggles that ultimately affect their relationships with others.
behn explains more about “different person (same face),” sharing:
“This song is about the struggles I had with drinking and how that strained a relationship I was in. I felt like a different version of myself had been wreaking havoc on my life; the feeling of waking up with new problems you don’t remember creating. I wrote it as an assignment for class (music school things). We were supposed to read a book (which, of course, I hadn’t read) and write a song about it. I just wrote this instead. I finished it over a couple days; locked in my room with my thoughts.”
