Nate Vickers confronts the price of success with his new single “Feels so wrong”

Date:

Alt-rock’s  Nate Vickers returns with “Feels So Wrong,” his new single out today via Oxide Records. Vickers peels back the layers of success to expose the loneliness and guilt that often come with it. Building on the depth of his previous single “Deja Vu,” Vickers pivots to the uneasy isolation of personal growth.

“Feels So Wrong” wrestles with the irony of achievement and the bittersweet truth that success can amplify the emptiness it was meant to erase.

The song’s accompanying video captures that tension perfectly. Vickers wanders through a vacant room strewn with balloons and party decorations. “It feels so cool to be successful, but it feels so wrong at the same time,” Vickers shares.

“It’s about feeling lonely after finding success, when fake friends come back around, but the real ones are nowhere to be found.”

After solidifying his breakout status with “A Little Too Late” and pushing darker sonically with “Parasite,” Vickers continues to evolve with each new track released.

Drawing inspiration from icons like Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, and Bad Omens, he forges a sound that’s both familiar and unmistakably his own. With over 16 million Spotify streams, 1.5 million TikTok followers, and growing recognition on SiriusXM’s Octane, Vickers has proven he’s part of the alt-rock resurgence.
