Indie rock artist MJ Lenderman — whose real name is Mark Jacob Lenderman — has announced his upcoming album Manning Fireworks, scheduled for release on Sept. 6 via Anti-. This marks his fourth studio album.

This new album’s lead single “She’s Leaving You,” which also includes a music video, has been released. The latest track delves into a middle-aged man experiencing a midlife crisis, and features classic rock references and a 1990s-inspired/alternative sound. The video is inspired by the iconic Nirvana track “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and 1999 film Drop Dead Gorgeous, which stars actress Kirsten Dunst.
Manning Fireworks is the follow-up to his 2022 album Boat Songs.
