MIFARMA drops emotional new single “The Five Stages of Grief” from forthcoming album

Date:

New York-based artist Danielle Alma Ravitzki, performing under her compelling alter ego Mifarma, is set to premiere her latest single, “The Five Stages of Grief,” a haunting meditation on loss, transformation, and the evolution of self. The track explores the idea that grief encompasses not only what we lose, but also who we were before life’s pivotal moments, combining intimate lyrics with layered instrumentation and evocative melodies.

This release leads into her highly anticipated English-language debut album, Mifarma, arriving September 19, with an intimate launch show at Pete’s Candy Store in Brooklyn, NY, on September 20. Having previously earned critical acclaim in the Hebrew-language music scene, Ravitzki now delivers her most personal and expansive work yet, merging emotional honesty with bold sonic experimentation.

Earlier this year, she introduced this new chapter with “I Left the Room Without My Hair,” a raw exploration of self-reinvention, and “The Five Stages of Grief” deepens that narrative, weaving themes of identity, memory, and resilience. Other standout album tracks, including “Somnambulist,” trace journeys through despair, fracture, and renewal, revealing the depth of Ravitzki’s introspective artistry.

The album, produced by two-time Grammy nominee Carmen Rizzo (Seal, Alanis Morissette, Paul Oakenfold), features collaborations with Shara Nova, Earl Harvin, Melissa Lingo, and Piers Faccini, creating a genre-defying blend of alternative, electronic, classical, and pop influences. Rizzo’s production balances layered textures with moments of stark intimacy, allowing Ravitzki’s vision to resonate fully.

Mifarma’s work invites listeners to traverse the emotional landscapes of grief, love, and renewal—offering both intensely personal storytelling and universally resonant experiences.

“The Five Stages of Grief” is available now across all streaming platforms.
