Midnight Til Morning shares music video for “Bye”

Date:

From the Netflix reality show Building the Band to being signed by global label Chugg Music, Midnight Til Morning has released a music video for their debut single, “Bye.”

Cinematic and emotionally charged, the video captures the raw vulnerability, complexity, and quiet power that comes with saying goodbye to someone you never thought you’d have to. The video showcases each member in different scenarios, poignant in their own right. Though the bandmates never share screen time, they all lent support to each other from behind the camera.

Of the experience, Midnight Til Morning shared,

“’Bye’ was the first music video we ever shot as a band. We knew it would be special. The song is obviously quite bittersweet, so we wanted that to be portrayed in the music video as well. In the video, all four of us are seen to be struggling with the situation we’re in. Struggling with letting go of someone we love. We hope you enjoy this music video.”

Directed by acclaimed visual director Josh Harris (Peach PRC, Go-Jo, and Sheppard), the “Bye” video leans into close-up shots, depicting isolated settings and intimate scenes. Shot by Director of Photography Jesse Gohier-Fleet, the contrasting locations — a remote farmhouse in country Victoria for Mason and Conor’s scenes, and inner city Melbourne for Zach and Shane’s — emphasize the emotional journey of the track.
