Melodic Music Monday: March 30

Date:

Every Monday, we bring you a playlist filled with new tracks the Melodic staff has been listening to on repeat. Hear some of our latest obsessions below:

——

Lenox Hills, “Call Me A Fool” – The song is one of those that you’d play on full blast with the windows down while driving or when you’re alone in your room dancing your worries away. “Call Me A Fool” holds your attention the whole way through, is incredibly infectious, and is surely on its way to becoming a summer staple on rock playlists.

– Ashanti Meadows

——

The Maine, “Palms” – “Palms” gives us the very catchy, poppy vibes The Maine is known and loved for alongside lyrics that encourage us to relax a little and let life in. With lines like “Don’t think, it all happens for a reason” and “Don’t think, let it happen,” the band drives home the message that we don’t always have to overthink every single little thing; sometimes we can just go with the flow and let it take us where it will.

– Emily Smith

——

Boy in Space, “The Man Who Lost it All” – “The Man Who Lost it All” has a strong folk and country influence. It combines yearning harmonies and a beautiful instrumental melody that features violins; the strings in this track specifically stand out, as they’re uncommon for the genre but they help blend in the message of the lyrics.

– Ashley Cardenas

——

Miley Cyrus, “Younger You”Cyrus surprised us all with a new Hannah Montana single, “Younger You.” The track bridges the gap between her childhood and life as a 33-year old: “Hey, you, it’s younger you / I know your story isn’t done, but do you love who you’ve become? / Hey, you, it’s younger you / When you’re standing on the stars, just don’t forget who you are.”
