Maryon King & Emily Vaughn deliver a chaotic love anthem in “Maniac”

Date:

Two LA-based powerhouses, Maryon King and Emily Vaughn, have teamed up to create a chaotic, electrifying track. The witty lyrics and irresistible melodies capture the reckless obsession of wanting someone beyond reason.

“Maniac” is a pop explosion, pairing Maryon King’s soulful vocals with Emily Vaughn’s sharp lyricism. The lyrics revel in reckless obsession, painting love as a deliciously chaotic spiral. Production-wise, it’s a slick blend of punchy beats, swirling synths, and a bass line that throbs like a racing heartbeat. The sound is anthemic yet intimate, merging Vaughn’s punchy hooks with King’s emotive depth, creating a track that’s as addictive as the love it describes.

Maryon King is a 24-year-old Moldovan-Italian singer-songwriter whose musical journey began after being inspired by Madonna’s performance of Hung Up. Defying her parents’ wishes for a traditional career, she secretly pursued music, eventually moving from London to Los Angeles to refine her left-of-center pop sound. With a soulful voice and heartfelt lyricism, she’s collaborated with top producers (The Stereotypes, Afrojack) and built buzz with singles like Flatline ahead of her debut EP, Back to Strangers.

Emily Vaughn, an LA-based artist and songwriter, boasts over 30 million streams and placements on major playlists and TV networks. Known for her sharp hooks and confident lyricism, she’s worked with EDM heavyweights (Taska Black, Gareth Emery) and co-written hits for artists like Party Favor. Her Billboard-charting collab “Easier” and contributions to Afgan’s Wallflower album showcase her knack for blending pop accessibility with electronic edge.
