The songwriting queens of country music are back and ready to spread the love. Female country duo Maddie & Tae have announced their brand-new fourth studio album, Love & Light, which will be released May 2 via Mercury Nashville. The album will feature pre-released fan favorites including “Free Like,” “Sad Girl Summer” and “Heart They Didn’t Break” — all from What A Woman Can Do (2024), the EP — on its 16-song tracklist. The duo released their joyfully nostalgic new song “Kissing Cowboys,” in conjunction with the album announcement. Watch the video for “Kissing Cowboys” below.
Maddie & Tae have have been making music together for 15 years, and Love & Light tells stories from their journey of growing up, starting families, seeing the world, and facing career highs and lows together. The project was written on the road over the last few years and was produced by an all-star team, including Tae’s husband Josh Kerr (Kelsea Ballerini, Keith Urban), Chris LaCorte (Sam Hunt, Morgan Wallen) and Corey Crowder (Chris Young, Florida Georgia Line).
