LOVA shares bittersweet indie-pop single “Leave It Beautiful”

Date:

Swedish singer-songwriter LOVA has released “Leave It Beautiful” as the new single off her upcoming album, Alvilde, scheduled for release on March 27, 2026, via Nettwerk. The new track is a masterfully crafted indie-pop record in which LOVA’s songwriting skills shine with introspective lyricism and catchy melodies.

“Leave It Beautiful” is a bittersweet letter to a relationship that came to an end before things turned sour. In the pre-chorus, LOVA explains why she decided to leave her romantic partner while singing over a vocoder effect, “Don’t wanna end up hating you / Don’t wanna drag us through the dirt / Don’t wanna end up staying / Longer than we’re meant ‘cause some things are just destined to end.”

However, LOVA says “Leave It Beautiful” isn’t specifically a love song:

“This song is about choosing to walk away—not out of anger, but out of love—so you can preserve the beauty of what once was before it fades into something unrecognizable or ugly. For me, this song isn’t about one specific relationship or moment—it’s about a place and time in life that I knew I had outgrown. I think anyone who’s ever felt stuck in something that’s run its course can relate.”

Since debuting in 2018 with her EP Scripted Reality, which included her breakthrough hit “You Me and the Silence,” LOVA has accumulated hundreds of millions of streams. As she gears up for her sophomore album, “Leave It Beautiful” proves that she has found her sonic niche somewhere between indie and pop while still delivering a universal message, making her an artist ready to step into the spotlight globally.
