On July 11, Loose Buttons dropped their newest single, “My Side Of The Bed”. The group of lifelong New Yorkers releases their newest track following a string of successes, including a full-capacity tour on the east coast, a sold-out Webster Hall, and several headlining nights at Baby’s All Right. This release is the first single from Loose Buttons since January, when they put out “I Saw Jon Hamm at the Beach”.
About the creation of “My Side Of The Bed”, frontman Eric Nizgretsky said:
“This song came to life as I wandered the quiet, orange-hued streets of Brighton Beach, where my parents and grandparents first lived when they immigrated from Ukraine to Brooklyn – reflecting on my family’s history and my own emotions. I often think about my folks and the dreams they had to let go just so that I could be here.”
Nizgretsky added the song is about the comfort of having a partner by your side during life’s intense, introspective moments. He said the track serves as a thank you to his partner, “who makes [my] side of the bed feel like home”. Featuring classic alternative rock drum beats, guitar melodies, and Nizgretsky’s sincere lyrics, “My Side Of The Bed” is a song you will not want to skip on your playlist.
