Kick Back and Relax with Tetra Collective in “Yuno”

Date:

Four-piece indie pop band Tetra Collective released their newest single, “Yuno”, on July 18. The group out of Long Beach, Calif. formed in 2012 among a group of self-taught high school musicians. 12 years later, the group tops 40,000 monthly Spotify streams and has opened for indie pop artists including Goth Babe, Greer, and Los Retros.

Influenced by early works of The Strokes and Tame Impala, “Yuno” fuses 80s synth sounds with groovy guitar and catchy vocals. Encouraging lyrics outline the body of the track, with lines that say “It’s okay to change, it just means you’re growing up”, and “If you feel alone, it’s okay to let it show / If you feel a little sad, maybe you should let me know”.

The band’s synthpop sound stands out in a way that only Tetra Collective can. It’s no wonder that Chris Buxton from Banger of the Day said:

“ ..there is a unique aura engraved into their sound, and they show a level of craftsmanship in their songs that prove they have all the tools to be stars.”
