Four months after releasing his debut studio album, Jake Minch is completing that initial chapter with a bonus track titled “Leave.”

“Leave” continues to follow Minch’s exploration of what it means to grow up and leave home, coinciding with his second leg of More George on Tour across North America.

“There’s one more song we recorded with the album that I think should see the light of day,” Minch says. “‘Leave’ was my answer to the question ‘where does all that love go after the relationship is over?’”

On “Leave,” Minch reflects on how a person still lingers in his life, even after they’re gone. He notices that the memories of this person show up everywhere: on the beach, at home, in crowds, and in unexpected moments at a friend’s house. Trying to forget and not relive, Minch is caught between leaving a piece of himself scattered throughout these moments.

Unable to fully let go, their presence is still affecting Minch’s thoughts. Even though the relationship may have ended, the memories remain etched inside in small places, everyday routines and and familiar moments.
