Jack Flowers & The Petal Tones release lively new single “starve”

Date:

Blossoming from the New Jersey indie scene, Jack Flowers & The Petal Tones have released their vibrant new single “starve.” The indie-rock five-piece first met while attending Montclair State University and have since gone on to become one of the most electric acts in the local North Jersey music sphere.

“starve” blends together the band’s infectious energy, funky experimentalism and whimsical essence. The track first premiered on the university’s radio station earlier this week where Powers revealed that its instrumental was actually produced for a final class project. She eventually teamed up with girlband’s Melissa Hughes to breathe a new life into the piece, thus ending up with the eclectic, chaotic and lively “starve.”

The “super serious loud girl music” group dive into fleeting feelings of intimacy and devotion on “starve.” The electronic leaning instrumental picks up the pace as the full band kicks in and Powers sings “going all the way in your car / keeping up with all the commotion.”

Jack Powers & The Petal Tones have two upcoming shows in Brooklyn, NY on September 28th and Paterson, NJ on October 10th. More information for these live dates can be found here.
