Hunter Hayes announces new holiday EP ‘Evergreen Christmas Sessions’ out Nov. 7

Date:

Hunter Hayes is back with more Christmas music! He will release his newest EP, Evergreen Christmas Sessions, on Nov. 7.

Pre-save Evergreen Christmas Sessions here.

The announcement followed a teaser of the project that Hayes revealed during a Zoom on his official app. Fans were offered a first listen of the EP, along with some behind the scenes of how it all came together.

In this EP, Hayes reimagines four fan-favorite holiday songs, including “Winter Wonderland,” “Run Run Rudolph,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “Silent Night.” The collection showcases the expansive artistry that Hayes has always expressed within his music.

Hayes shared some thoughts about his forthcoming holiday EP: “Creating this project felt really special and full circle, as I revisited some holiday music I recorded as a kid. We happened to have a few days off during tour, and this was the first time we were able to record together as a band. We wanted to try something different, so we gave the project a ‘calm Christmas’ vibe with a chill, dreamy, jazz-inspired take on the season. For me Christmas music has always been about spending time with the people you love, and I hope this project becomes part of those moments.”

The project follows the recent collaboration Hayes did with a capella group Straight No Chaser on the single “Christmas Is Different.” He will continue to share the holiday spirit on Nov. 30 in Louisiana for Louisiana Christmas Day; tickets are available here.

Evergreen Christmas Sessions tracklist:
1. Winter Wonderland
2. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
3. Run Run Rudolph
4. Silent Night
