The first taste is out now — “90 Seconds to Midnight” was released back in February.

The news comes nearly two years after they released their debut album, A Call to the Void, in August 2023; it reached No. 40 on the UK Top 40 chart that year.

The band, which consists of Hannah Mee (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Jim Shaw (co-lead vocals, guitar), Tom Paton (bass) and Harry Deller (drums), is known for their genre-blurring sound and for lyrics that often address social and political issues will also embark on a few shows this fall.

Speaking on the track, vocalist Han Mee has shared:

“The doomsday clock is nearing midnight and this frantic song sets the mood for the oncoming nuclear winter… We wanted to punch you proper in the face with this, this balls to the wall little riffy boy comes bounding at you relentlessly. Lyrically we took inspiration from 17th century philosopher Rousseau and the poet John Betjemen with his poem ‘Slough’.  Rousseau set out that humanity would never be free as we create our own shackles. In this case, we’ve created our own demise. Where as Betjemens poem takes this notion of demise and laughs at it, inviting the nukes in “come friendly bombs”…. Let’s set the gaff on fire and start again.”

The band is also set to embark on some shows in the UK his fall. General on-sale began at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, June 6.

The following is a list of the shows in the UK:

November 17 / SWG3 Galvanizers / Glasgow
November 19 / Roundhouse / London
November 20 / O2 Institute / Birmingham
November 22 / O2 Victoria Warehouse / Manchester
