Goldpark are “Covered in Sunshine” on new single

Date:

Last month, Nashville trio Goldpark shared a cosmic love story with the release of “Lady Lightyear.”  The single encouraged others to stay open to all of the possibilities of love, its vibrant indie pop sound enveloping listeners in wonder.  Additionally, “Lady Lightyear” made for a great introduction to Goldpark’s upcoming sophomore EP, which will be released later this year.  The band mentioned that they want to make people smile with this new EP, and with the release of its second single, Goldpark are well on their way to making that happen.

On “Covered in Sunshine,” Goldpark embrace the warmth found around them.  Backed by dazzling percussion, rhythmic ornaments, rousing bass, and bright electric guitar, vocalist Wes Hunter reminds listeners to breathe and try not to get too bogged down by life.  Through soaring vocals, he sings, “Covered in sunshine / Part of life / Covered in sunshine / Today don’t feel so heavy.”  You can check it out below.

About the track, Wes shared,

“‘Covered in Sunshine’ is about the power of stepping outside.  All of these problems, anxieties, and fears that have come from a reliance on technology feel a little less heavy when we step into the sunlight.  That’s where we realize where ‘real life’ actually lives.  Being a ‘part of life’ isn’t being fully connected at all times with the world around us through a viewfinder.  It’s being a part of the outside world we forget about so often.”

You can listen to “Covered in Sunshine” on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
