Southern California pop-punk duo girlfriends recently released their highly anticipated third album THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD via Big Noise and distributed through Virgin Music.
The record watches the duo tackle a nostalgic ache soundtracked by their signature chaotic, feel-good energy. The 15 tracks each capture the whirlwind of growing older and pushing yourself through life’s toughest obstacles along the way. THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD is an unrelentingly dynamic effort that’s relatable, fun and honest. The album, which was produced by longtime collaborator John Feldmann, cements the duo’s place as one of the most exciting acts at the forefront of modern pop-punk.
girlfriends kicked off this blistering new era with “LANDSLIDE” and “WEST COAST” earlier this summer before releasing the album’s final single “GARBAGE” in mid-September. THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD is an epic display of the duo’s infectious energy and raw emotion that serves as a reminder of the good old days and appreciating what you have while you have it.
The duo just kicked off a small run of fall headlining shows across the United States in San Francisco, CA on November 2nd. The small run of shows will conclude with their appearance at the Orlando, FL stop of Vans Warped Tour on November 15th and 16th. Tickets and information for all of girlfriends’ upcoming shows can be found here.
