FLEECE wants to know, “Do You Want to Party”?

Date:

After picking up her fellow bandmates from their respective desk jobs, lead vocalist and guitarist, Megan Ennenberg, takes the band on an ’80s-inspired shopping spree in their latest music video. Once clad with the perfect outfits, FLEECE is ready to sing and dance the night away to their newest single, “Do You Want to Party”.

The song comes as the second release off FLEECE’s upcoming album, right after “It’s the Life” released back in March. This eccentric video pairs nicely with the psych-rock aesthetic FLEECE has already established doing things such as having their stage set up as a psychedelic ice cream truck during shows. Everything about the band and their music urges listeners to get up and dance. Lyrics say things such as, “I’ve got a little invitation for ya’ / Just havin’ a little bit of fun down the street” and “I’ll be here playin’ stupid songs / And we can dance until the dawn.”

Just as FLEECE used the song to allude to a night of partying in sparkly, ABBA-inspired outfits, the band wants listeners to feel the same freedom. Of the new single, Megan says, “This song came from a desire to stop thinking and just feel. To prioritize the body’s instinct to wiggle instead of rationalizing or overthinking so much.”
