Fiona Joy faces betrayal on new song “two way mirror”

Fiona Joy writes songs about the human experience. Her vivid songwriting crafts stories of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery, allowing her to be vulnerable with her audience. Her latest release “two way mirror” is a heart-wrenching ballad about pain and loss after betrayal. 

“two way mirror” focuses on disloyalty. Through floating vocals and heavy percussion, Fiona Joy processes the emotions that come with losing trust in her best friend. The chorus sings, “How did I not see it sooner? / From the other side, you were looking through / How did I not see it clearer? / All along, I faced a two way mirror” showing her confusion and distress towards this situation.

Sharing more about “two way mirror”, Fiona Joy comments:

“This song is about a friend that you trust who feels so much like you it’s like looking in a mirror. However, when they betray your trust it leaves you vulnerable feeling like you’re being watched through a two way mirror.”
