Eveline’s “solar power” proves itself as EP title track

Date:

“solar power” off of Eveline’s Solar Power EP proves itself to be the title track for a reason — it’s unique, relaxing, exciting, and lyrically and vocally beautiful.

The song feels like a love letter on a summer day with lyrics like “conquer your heart with my solar power” and “I’ll show you how to dance with the moon.” Eveline is proving herself as a songwriter with her prose, and the rest of the EP follows suit.

The song is concluded with her angelic vocals belting melodies that eventually fade out. With ethereal layers, incredibly smooth vocals and all live instruments, Eveline’s sounds can be compared to Billie Eilish or Lorde.

In 2024, Eveline rebuilt her sound from the ground up with producer Darlinicky, delving into a rawer, grittier, and more organic sonic landscape. On her spiritual journey toward personal freedom, she has said she draws upon “ancient energy” to conjure mystery, playfulness, and profound emotional depth.

Solar Power also features hits like “heartcuts,” “rock n roll healing,” and “ultraviolence,” which show Eveline with a bit more edge. The EP’s title track stands strong on its own, setting the tone for the body of work but ultimately showcasing the artist’s range.
