Dance-pop artist ELBA creates unique and energetic sounds to groove to. ELBA originates from western Denmark, where she’s created quite the name for herself in the pop scene. She’s solidified her stage presence at festivals around Denmark and pride events, but got more widespread recognition after her national live performance on Go’ morgen Denmark. As well as pop, there’s elements of funk, jazz, and rock found in her sound. Combining all of these components makes ELBA a spunky force to be reckoned with.
“Kindness” is the latest groovy single from ELBA. At its core, this song is a self-love anthem. With lyrics such as, “I wanna shower myself with golden rings, silky sheets and pretty things, cause I deserve it,” it’s hard to deny that the positive message that this song sends out is something that everybody needs to hear on a bad day. There’s truly not a dull moment in this track. Some production easter eggs that got snuck in include a cowbell, some funky bass melodies, and country guitar licks. The fusion of genres and instrumentation on the track makes for a song that’s one of its kind. Or should we say, one of its “Kindness.”
