Dom Innarella experiences a little “Magic” on new single

Date:

When we last caught up with 15-year-old singer and songwriter Dom Innarella in July of last year, his summer was just heating up. He released the steamy “Jersey In July,” which contained a fun-loving vibe that anyone going through a summer romance could get behind. Overall, 2025 was a breakthrough year for Dom, as he gave an outstanding performance at Z100’s Summer Bash, opened for Lewis Capaldi and Julia Michaels at Hudson Yards, and gained much support from the likes of The Artist Voice about one of his other catchy singles “Call Me.” Earlier this year, his debut single “Bout Me” reached over 10M streams, so that means that loads of fans have heard about Dom and know what’s up.

He didn’t need a magic wand to get to this point, but Dom definitely believes in divine powers of the universe. On his new single “Magic,” Dom touches on the special feeling he gets when he is near someone very dear in his life. It’s a slow burning pop ballad with sweet and innocent lyrics, a steady pulse, and a cinematic flair that captivates you from the moment the opening piano riffs begin to twinkle. With affection in his voice, Dom sings, “It feels like it’s magic / When you walk in the room / Don’t know how it happens / How you make the world stop when you move.” You can check it out below.

About “Magic,” Dom shares,

“What inspired me to make ‘Magic’ was that slow, timeless vibe in a lot of the old soul records my grandpa used to play for me when I was growing up. When I was making the song, I wasn’t really making it about one person in particular. It’s mostly about that special someone who doesn’t even try to be special…their energy just changes the whole room, and for a second, it feels like time stops. It feels like magic. I just hope when you hear it, it makes you feel something too, and that the lyrics connect with you the same way they connect with me.”

“Magic” is out now via Republic Records. You can check it out here.
