Queen of country music Dolly Parton has announced a mini-residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas this December. The announcement has delighted fans, who were saddened by her retirement from touring in 2022. One fan on Instagram remarked, “Christmas came early! #THEQUEENHASRETURNED,” and another celebrated, “My number one bucket list item is about to be checked off!!”
The happy news follows a difficult season for Parton. The “Jolene” singer suffered the loss of her beloved husband, Carl Dean, earlier this year. She celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on May 30 by honoring their tradition of visiting the church where they were married in Ringgold, Georgia.
The country icon is in good spirits and ready to rock. She shared on her website:
“To say I’m excited would be an understatement. I haven’t worked Vegas in years and I’ve always loved singing there.”
Parton has not performed in Las Vegas since 1993, and many fans believe her return is long overdue. It’s predicted to be an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience for those who attend.
The Grammy singer and music icon recently appeared on Sabrina Carpenter‘s Short n’ Sweet (Deluxe) on the hit track, “Please Please Please.”
