DE’WAYNE unveils new album ‘june’ and shares title track

DE’WAYNE has just announced that his third studio album june is set to be released on July 30th via Fearless Records. The announcement comes alongside the release of its strikingly powerful title track, which is now available to stream here.

Speaking on the importance of this record and what it means to him, the Houston-born, Los Angeles-based rock artist shares:

“I wanted this to reach everybody; young or old, whatever your background, we all know what it’s like to fall for someone who flips your world upside down. For the fans, I hope this shows that I’ve truly found my voice. I want them to feel my heart in this one—and maybe see a little of themselves in it too.”

DE’WAYNE is no stranger to pushing the limits of genre, and “june” is no exception. The track is laced with funk and pop elements, while still allowing that rock influence to shine through on the chorus. It’s a refreshing gift to the rock scene that comes together to showcase how DE’WAYNE identifies as an artist. Further expanding upon the track and its significance to the album as a whole, he adds,

“This is my epic rock love album. I gave everything—blood, sweat, tears, love, sex, spirituality, and truth. Every song was a surrender, and June is the light guiding it all.”

“june” is the perfect testament of what it’s like to be infatuated with another human, and serves as the record’s third single after the previously released “highway robbery” and “biological.” The lyrics see DE’WAYNE openly obsessing over this lover, admitting that she’s got him losing his cool. “june” is a bold track that can be seen as the epitome of feminine adoration, vulnerability and fiery passion.
