Two-time Grammy-winning global R&B superstar Chris Brown has announced his 12th studio album, BROWN, set for release on May 8, alongside a North American tour.
Alongside the announcement, Brown released a new single, “Obvious” — the second single off this new album, following the Grammy-nominated track “It Depends,” featuring Bryson Tiller.
Brown and Usher jointly posted a commercial on Instagram to announce their North American tour, The R&B Tour.
The announcement comes after Brown won Best R&B album at the Grammys for 11:11 (Deluxe), which had the RIAA Platinum hit single “Residuals,” per Brown’s team.
Brown won a multitude of awards last year, including the most wins of any musician at the NAACP Image Awards, where he garnered three honors: Outstanding Male Artist, as well as two more at the 2025 BET Awards — Best Male R&B/Pop Artist and the Viewer’s Choice Award (for “Residuals”).
“It Depends” and “Holy Blindfold” both dropped during Brown‘s global stadium tour, Breezy Bowl XX, which celebrated the 20th anniversary of his first album release and his career.
